Jesus Walks on the Water
Matthew 14:22-33
Summary: After Jesus fed five thousand from five loaves and two fish, he made the disciples go ahead of him by boat across the Sea of Galilee toward Capernaum. Jesus prayed up in the mountain, then soon went out onto the sea that was tossing the boat. When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water unto them, they were afraid, not believing it was he. Jesus spoke out unto them saying, “Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” Peter asked to come out onto the water if it was Jesus, and Jesus said, “Come.”
When winds blew, Peter was afraid and started to sink, having to be picked up by Christ himself.
Matthew14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O you of little faith, wherefore did you doubt?
The wind calmed down and they got into the boat. The disciples worshiped him saying, “Of a truth You are the Son of God”.
