Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman
♥ Found in the Bible in John 4:1-42
♥ Summary: While on the way to Galilee, Jesus passed through Samaria and stopped at a town named Sychar. At about noon, Jesus stopped at Joseph’s well that was given to him by his father, Jacob. This part of the day, most people did not use the well due to the heat. A Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus asked for a drink, though at that time Jews did not associate with Samaritans. She at first was hesitant of what he would tell her, until Jesus started to name the woman’s past and why she would get water when no one was around. He knew she had five past husbands, and she was not currently married. She thought he was merely a prophet, but soon learned he was the Messiah. She ran back to town leaving her water jar to tell the town her testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
